Spectator Policies and Guidelines

The CJT takes great pride in its relationships with each golf facility, and we expect our spectators to conduct themselves in a professional manner to help strengthen those partnerships. Spectators must observe the same golf etiquette and dress code as the players to include at all competitive rounds, practice rounds, and any other functions.

General Conduct

Spectators are encouraged at all CJT events but must conduct themselves in a professional manner. Please remember you are there to spectate and not caddy or coach. Your juniors are there to play competitive golf and spectators should respect this and watch quietly from the cart path. Spectators should keep their expressions to a minimum and refrain from overuse of tobacco and alcohol. Thank you for setting a good example for our players.

Dress Code

Spectators are expected to dress in appropriate golf attire at all CJT events. Blue jeans, tank tops, flip flops, and other overly casual attire should not be worn at any CJT event. All attire must meet the host clubs’ guidelines.

Cell Phones

All electronic devices should be turned off or put on silent. Silent cell phones should not be used on the golf course.

Communicating with Players

Spectators should only interact with players in front of other players and spectators. The only communication allowed between spectators and players should be to assist with food and water, sunscreen, and health reasons.

Spectator Cart Policy

Failure to adhere to this policy could result in loss of privileges for all future use of spectator carts.

  • Carts may be rented from the facility at a price determined by the facility and based on availability

  • Spectator carts must remain on the cart paths at all times and can only be used to shuttle players in the case of an evacuation

  • Limit two people per spectator cart (except in an emergency)

  • Spectator carts can be used to carry beverages for players but not for storing golf equipment

Spectating Guidelines

Spectators should observe from a reasonable distance but not hold up any play from behind. Spectators should remain on the cart path at all times and never be on a fairway or green. Please refrain from noise or movement while other players are hitting their shots.

Searching for Golf Balls

Spectators are encouraged to help spot balls and assist in the search of a lost ball. Please do not interfere with a players’ golf ball.
